Frequently I get this question from people who seems to think this is something I can magically appear for them.
Is there an update for Vista? No, there isn’t.
Why? Because Vista does not require the installation cd at all. It does not need any outside driver download to be able to identify the web camera and install the drivers necessary in order to make it function as desired.
That being said, stop emailing me asking for drivers supporting Vista. If your Vista can’t find the drivers automatically when you plug in the camera, it’s a problem with your Vista, not the web cam.
Comments closed, because you seem to think it’s a forum and can ask each other for advice on how to’s and troubleshooting. It’s not, there are actual forums for that. Thank you.
Check out the vimicro driver!
I am going to move the location of the Vimicro drivers to Dead-Teddybears. This is because I think I’m getting too much traffic regarding the drivers including the bandwidth it takes for people to download it after they’ve purchased it. Price will still remain at $2 US dollars, you can still pay through Paypal, and all the links at this site will be updated so there will be absolutely no doubt where exactly the drivers has been moved to.
Please remember to only order the drivers ONCE from the webshop or it will become horribly confused and not be able to send you the email required to download the drivers.
Thank you.
Check out the vimicro driver!
As people seem to be linking directly to the zip-file where the drivers are located instead of the entry, constantly displaying it available for “free download” as they please without any consideration for the many dollars I cough up every month to make sure my domain stays online as a result of the many gb’s of bandwidth it pulls, I have now removed the drivers for free download.
Here you can find the driver for your vimicro 301x driver.
Some time ago I discovered Ebay. At times I wish I never had as I spend way too much of my hardearned money there, but sometimes I’m most content on the good bargains I make.
Today my brand new webcam with a design and features ripped from Logitech, but reproduced cheaply in China (oh, how i love china for it), which I only paid 3 us dollars for, has finally arrived.
And the quality is at least a thousand times better then my current Logiteck Quickcam. Like any quickie, it sucks in comparison to my new one.
So in the spirit of my new cam (which I will in a minute disclose the brand of) I took some new pictures of myself.
