This isn’t something I would normally confess to, but I considered it amusing information nonetheless.
I saw the first Fairytopia-film a few years ago. Barbie plays a wingless fairy named Elina who battles an evil fairy. And although I thought it had an annoying halfmade finish to its characters and surroundings, it wasn’t really half bad. I can’t slaughter it based on cheesy simplified lines on friendship and love, because it’s after all made for smaller children than me to watch.
A year later or so, another Fairytopia-film, “Magic of the Rainbow”, was released. This time Elina is sent to learn more fairy magic at the Crystal Palace.
The third film, “Mermadia”, has also been released now not long ago. And I’m not too embarrassed to say I’ve seen it. Of course, the embarrassing part was to ask Marius to get it for me… He gave me the weirdest look ever when I said I’d like to see it.
So.. despite the fact that Elina (Barbie) and all the other fairies she meets are all incredibly beautiful, slim and thin with abnormally wellshaped breasts, it’s excellent entertainment if you 1) like Barbie or 2) Happen to be under the age of 8.
Lol, I remember at primary school I hated barbie but my friends loved it, so I ended up getting my dad to take me to watch the film just so I could fit in with my friends.
Needless to say, I hated it.

I did. It was very amusing. I liked Barbie when I was younger, so that wasn’t a problem for me =)
You know, I’m not one for barbies.. ever.. but I liked this movie., Haven’t seen any of the other ones though, but I like fairies so.. yeah should have been expected haha
