The story of the non-working fax

Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 | General |

For some delinquent reason my fax machine has been vigorously refusing to work properly. I can send faxes down to the office in Denmark. I can print out whatever statements I need, I can scan/copy whatever my imaginary heart desires. But for some bloody reason the damn thing is refusing to receive any faxes at all. I’ve tried calling the fax and it just gave me a beep-beep before disconnecting.

You have no idea how frustrating this has been for me!

Not to mention the X amount of customers who has tried to fax me their schematics and various other documentation I required to do things for them. Finally I had to write on the website that the fax was sadly not working at the moment and “please fax the danish office instead”. Which naturally nobody reads.

So today I got a call from someone who was furious because he was unable to fax me. I asked him;

“Are you in front of the computer?”

- Yes?

“Go to our mainsite.”

- Ok

“And then go to “Status Information”.

- Oh….

“Yes. Good of you to notice.”

My sister told me that she had read a survey where they had asked people what kind of Customer Service they liked the least to contact. They all said “Computer Related” because they all felt like they were idiots when contacting them. Gee, I wonder why :P

    It can be in a letter sent to them by snail mail and some people STILL won’t read it.
