Some time ago I discovered Ebay. At times I wish I never had as I spend way too much of my hardearned money there, but sometimes I’m most content on the good bargains I make.
Today my brand new webcam with a design and features ripped from Logitech, but reproduced cheaply in China (oh, how i love china for it), which I only paid 3 us dollars for, has finally arrived.
And the quality is at least a thousand times better then my current Logiteck Quickcam. Like any quickie, it sucks in comparison to my new one.
So in the spirit of my new cam (which I will in a minute disclose the brand of) I took some new pictures of myself.

$3 US? That is about $5 in my currency, which is extremely cheap for a camera! The last webcam I bought (which is also a “part-time” digital camera) cost me around $100+ Singapore dollars. :X And the quality is… terrible. I’ve been ripped off.

I just got the same webcam of ebay, came threw today ,except i can’t get mine going, installed all the drivers, but it just wont have any off it, says its an unknown device still.
Was wondering if ur drivers are different to the ones i got with mine, and if you could send them to me???!

Yeah I bought this camera too, I got it for ONE PEE! (thats 1p, which means one pence, ‘pence’ being a bit like dollars or beans, but its the splendid currancy we use here in jolly old england.
The camera is bloody annoyig though. Dont you just hate it when you get some hardware or software and the instuctions are so full of weird mistakes you can tell its written by some ill-english-speaking Chinaman. I hope the download in this site works, because with such a nice looking camera I would hope I can get it to work

i got the same webcam, only paid like 16 total for everything, but when i finally got it, i can’t install the software that came with the minidisc and i can’t get MY webcame to take good photos like that one of the pretty girl above, i don’t have anything that will let me zoom or adjust the lighting, etc . . .
I was googling for help on my USBwebcam and i came across your page.I just got the same webcam from Ebay. However, the image IS HORRIBLE. the quality is so poor. it seems as if everything is blur out. Did that happen to yours too? Hey guys - you can focus the lens by twisting it just like a growed-up camera. Chris
i am sooo glad i read to the end of this post…your tip saved me from throwing out my camera because no matter what software i used or what video drivers i tried, all i got a was a blur of color that i could tell was moving. thank you… you are awesome chris!!! my lens is twisted so far off to focus that it looks like it’s gonna fall off, but it works!
Recently bought a couple on eBay… only had to pay for the postage
Mine installed a little program with the driver called AMCAP… the menu option Options/Video Capture Filter allows you to adjust brightness, colour etc and Options/Video Capture Pin lets you change the picture size (ie zoom), frame rate etc
… but does anyone know how to turn the lights off?
You don’t.
It responds to the lighting in its surroundings. the only way to turn the lights off would be to unplug the cam.

I have the very same cam, it works very well inside, but outside it seems to be far too sensible and it delivers only a white screen>>> I tried to put the brightness to the minium but it changes nothing

Got this camera from Ebay, paid around £9 for postage, was pleased as I thought I got a bargain. But I cant install the software as it might damage my computer. It says that it is not verified by microsoft.

I bought the same web cam on E-Bay. Not sure how it happened but I recently moved and the Driver Software disk got broke and now I can’t install the cam anymore. Does anyone have any idea where I might get a copy of the software disk? I would deeply appreciatie it. My camera works great and have had lots of compliments on the clear image it gives out. Would really like to have my web cam back but need the software that comes with it. My disk is a small CD with blue and silver on the side with PC CAMERA - DRIVER SOFTWARE.

i am using VIMICRO PC CAMERA V (305), everything is working fine, no problem. only problem is when i login to my windows xp, put my username and password, its take long time (2 MIN) to get my windows desktop. only happend after i install the drive. complitely remove the drive solve the problem. where is the problem, pls help.
